- Loosely based on the childhood recess game of kickball, the Turkey Ball Tournament will take place Thanksgiving weekend at the Joel School Fields in Clinton, CT. We figured what else are you doing that weekend besides fighting crowds at the malls for a $10 savings on another TV you really don’t need.
The 2012 Turkey Ball Tournament will consist of up to 12 teams. Teams will be made up of a minimum of 8 players, and a maximum of 12 players. Up to 10 players may be on the field of play at a time. Teams are co-ed and must have at least 4 males, and 4 females.
Each team will play 3 “regular season” games with the top 4 teams (or top 2 in each division) advancing to the championship games. Games will be played on Friday Nov 23rd and Saturday Nov 24th. The most likely schedule will be 2 regular season games on Friday, a regular season game on Saturday and then Championship Games Saturday afternoon.
So if you are interested, get a team together! The cut off for 2012 is 12 teams. It can be co workers, friends, or maybe even all of your family who is in town for Thanksgiving – like you don’t spend enough time with them already… It really doesn’t matter because this is all for some competitive fun over the long weekend!
