Rules

(Taken from generally accepted Kickball Rules with some modifications)

1. Teams will be assigned home and away status with the away team at bat (kick) first.
2. All players must wear a team uniform that is designated by a color. Each team must have a home and away color (light and dark) and specify those on the team entry form.
3. Costumes are encouraged, so have fun with it.
4. Games will be 5 innings. However, if 5 innings are not complete after 90 minutes of play, the umpire will inform both teams that the game will end at the bottom of the current inning. We have a schedule to keep people…
5. A team may score a maximum of 10 runs in an inning, after the 10th run is scored the inning is retired so that we can move the game forward. Nobody likes you running up the score anyway superstar.
6. 4 fouls is considered an out.
7. Some one is considered out when: Players are tagged out with the ball, throw out at the base or hit with the ball traveling in between bases.
8. If a player is hit in the head with the ball intentionally, the runner advances TWO bases. (example, if hit in the head running to first base, runner advances to second base, and other runners on base advance accordingly). If a runner intentionally head buts the ball to draw advancement, they are considered out.
9. Umpires calls are final. Abuse of umpire or event officials will be considered a major penalty. This includes yelling, swearing, or arguing about calls. A major penalty could result in ejection form the game or even the tournament. This is for fun so little league dads please stay home.
10. Runners may advance a maximum of one base on an overthrow. However the ball is still in play and a runner can be thrown out if the fielding team makes a play.
11. Games on Friday and Saturday (regular season) can end in a tie. However if a championship game ends in a tie, we will go into extra innings where both sides get a chance at bat/kick (similar to baseball)
12. All players must visibly display their credentials during the tournament. Players without credentials are not allowed to play.
13. Games start the designated time, for every minute a team is late they will be penalized a run. If a team fails to show up for a game they will forfeit the game with the final score of 15-0.
13. In determining top teams for the championship we will go by number of wins, if there is a tie, then by runs, if still a tie we will have a tug of war to determine the winner

We reserve the right to alter, change, or modify these rules leading into the tournament as we see fit. Rules will be set by tournament time.
